Yesterday, we attended school at Cottesloe Primary in Western Australia, Perth. We are met by our buddies upon arrival in school and were taken to class for lessons shortly. We attended netball clinic conducted by Netball WA and learnt new skills to help us to improve on our agility. One of the highlights yesterday was the homestay. Many of us were initially worried as it was our first time participating in a homestay. However, our fears soon melted away as we were touched by the generosity and hospitality of our Australian hosts. We will share a few of our friends experiences here.
Darshini and Shann stayed with the Edwards family. They were taught how to bake a vanilla cake with the help of Mrs Edwards who also prepared a barbecue dinner for them.
Many Australians own pets such as dogs and cats. Some of these dogs even have special talents!
Leanne stayed with the Gilmour family who had a dog who would jump up and swallow the bubbles blown by its owner. The dog is even able to swim out to sea to fetch a ball that has been thrown out by its owner. How intelligent!
The day ended perfectly for us as some of us were treated to dessert after a fun-filled day. Larissa's host family took her to the park and even treated them to ice-cream. What a way to end the day!
